Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist

Brandon achieved a Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia, Canada prior to studying medicine at the University of Sydney, Australia and being awarded an MBBS with honours.

After general physician training at Nepean, St.George, Sutherland, and Shoalhaven hospitals, he achieved FRACP specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from the St.George and Concord hospitals in NSW, Australia.

He is skilled in the general procedures of a Gastroenterologist such as gastroscopies & colonoscopies (including their related procedures) but also a more unique and new skill: intestinal ultrasound.

He has performed over  2000  scans  already and spent12 months in Canada at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary for a  Fellowship  in  advanced  IBD  ultrasound.

Passionate about Inflammatory Bowel Disease Management

From the beginning of his specialist training Brandon has been interested in the well being and improvements in the healthcare of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's and Ulcerative colitis.

He is passionate about the use of ultrasound to assist with IBD assessment and management decisions to help decrease the cumulative risks of endoscopies (not to mention the inconveniences) and to help avoid radiation risks of CT scans.

He is currently working on his PhD in the utility of transabdominal intestinal ultrasound in IBD at Blacktown Hospital.
